Who are you?
I honestly believe that I was born to be an artist. I've been an athlete, a salesman, and other things, but nothing makes me feel purpose quite like making music. I love creating songs that resonate emotionally with listeners, and I think of every song as a concept with the potential to impact millions. If I'm making music, it's because I believe I have an idea worth sharing with the whole world.
Where are you from?
The Soldier is sometimes 2 artists (Hunter and Augusto), sometimes 1. In this case, it was Hunter who made Rose. I started taking guitar lessons in 3rd grade, and I quit a couple of years later to teach myself music through ear and YouTube. I evolved into an independent artist, and then into the frontman for The Soldier. I'm from Boston. Boston has a whole lot of rock bands that are up and coming, my personal favorite being Good Sleepy (soundcloud.com/goodsleepy). In the summer, we really like outdoor concerts with full bands, but in the winter, night clubs take over with the hottest dance and rap songs at the moment.
