Who are you?

As an artist who revels in pushing the boundaries within the realms of experimental bass music and deep dubstep, I am a sonic explorer who thrives on the unconventional. My artistic journey is a relentless pursuit of innovation and the creation of immersive auditory experiences that defy convention.

I refuse to be confined by the constraints of traditional genres. I draw inspiration from a wide range of musical styles, including industrial, ambient, glitch, and even classical, to infuse my experimental bass music with a multi-faceted, ever-evolving sound.

While I explore experimental avenues, I always pay homage to my deep dubstep roots. The subsonic frequencies and minimalistic, hypnotic rhythms of dubstep form the foundation of my sound, providing a steady heartbeat that underpins my sonic experiments.

I'm obsessed with textural depth. In my tracks, you'll find a meticulous layering of sounds, from subterranean basslines that reverberate through your chest to ethereal, haunting melodies that dance on the fringes of consciousness. These textural contrasts are designed to transport the listener to uncharted dimensions.

My work is a form of alchemy, where I manipulate and sculpt soundscapes to evoke a deep and emotional response taking listeners on a journey into the unknown, in an attempt to challenge their expectations.

Sound design is at the core of my creative process. I revel in crafting and molding sounds to create novel landscapes. From granular synthesis to modular experimentation.

Beyond the technical aspects of my music, I mainly aim to convey a message and evoke deep emotions. Whether it's a reflection on the human condition, an exploration of existential questions, or a commentary on the state of the world, I try always display a profound narrative.

Where are you from?

I'm originally from Santa Barbara, California, but have spent the last 11 years in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Although it often remains overlooked and underrated by people who are unfamiliar with the state's underground bass music scene,
it's alive and well. Honestly, its thriving.

SLC has a vast community of talented local producers and DJ's who are committed to pushing the boundaries of bass music. A lot of artists including myself and a number of my friends often organize their events and collaborate with one another, making us a hub for creativity.

We've also encompassed a wide range of bass music sub-genres, keeping things diverse which ensures that there is something for everyone, contributing to the scene's vitality.

Unlike larger cities with massive, mainstream clubs, Salt Lake City's scene typically thrives in more intimate venues, such as smaller clubs and after-hours spots in the warehouse districts. This creates a unique and personal experience for attendees.

Despite their underground nature, many events invest heavily in sound and visual production to create a truly immersive experience. You can expect high-quality sound systems, cutting-edge visuals, and lighting that rival larger, more mainstream venues.

We've definitely faced challenges and misconceptions, such as the perception that it may be more conservative due to Utah's predominantly Mormon population. However, we've proven time and time again to be a haven for those seeking an alternative to the state's conservative image.

Many visitors and even tons of locals are unaware of the depth and vibrancy of what we've got going on.
