Who are you?
I've definitely grown over the years. While I was performing as "MuMu", my music was rooted in activism… fierce feminist lyrics with a fun-time vibe. Now that I'm releasing music under my given name, I've shifted to a more vulnerable style of storytelling.
Where are you from?
I was raised on the Upper West Side of NYC by a single mom and five older sisters. We called our home "The Brothel"… for obvious reasons. Last year, I decided to spend more time (living and working) in Paris. The music scene is different than NY. I'm still trying to navigate my way around it. I've learned that the first step to collaborating is with a coffee.
