Very dark, moody, and psychotic. I never meant for my music to fall down that rabbit hole. But it did and it really shows…
Where are you from and what’s the music scene like there?
I am a singer, songwriter, and producer from Millville, New Jersey. I work independently, and release my own music through a label I formed called RodGunx Records. I started writing and producing songs at 16. I didn't really publish anything back then because I didn't know how to. However, I did release one song on SoundCloud back in 2019 called 'Never There'. It was an old account of mine called "ajonly_songs". It's probably still out there somewhere… God only knows… It was a song talking about the separation of my parents. Mostly about my biologic father who was never there for me. (ha! See title of the song)
As a kid, I had a pretty ruff childhood. I suffer from multiple physical and mental issues. Sometimes causing my whole body to shut down; leading to hospitalization. Although, I didn't let that stop me from trying to live a normal life. That I all changed though, at the end of 2019. I suffered from a heart attack that took me 2 years to recover. Yet, while recovering I made a bunch of music and videos to ease the pain. I was stuck in bed for 5 months and did nothing but write, create beats, and make TikTok's. But then, my mental health started decreasing rapidly. Resulting in getting hospitalized in 2021 for mental health. After discharged; I decided to focus more on music and realized that there's more better things in life. I also wanted to share my story with the world. In hopes to inspire people to keep moving forward.
